A position paper…

At the Camp we like to have participants who actively participate in the event by bringing their own experience and interesting questions and topics to explore. It doesn’t matter how much experience you will bring. Important is your engagement in the camp. Therefore we would like you to introduce yourself to the other participants by telling us

  1. What do you plan to learn and explore at this camp? and
  2. How do you plan to contribute?

Pierluigi Pugliese

What do you plan to learn /explore at this camp?

1. Ways to expand the vocabulary of what coaching in agile means: IMO the field is still in its infancy
2. Meet several old friends and possibly make some ones

How do you plan to contribute?
I will propose some sessions dedicated to explore how agility should be considered as a systemic change in an organisation and therefore needs to be seen also with the eyes of the organisational developer and not just the ones of the team coach. On the top of that, one of the topics I can contribute these days is bringing the experiences I made as an agile over the last years and share them with the other participants

Roberto Romualdi

Of course, as in the last edition, to share 2 days with the best of the italian agile coaches is really a valuable and great experience (I do not say that just to write something …). I am ready to give contribution to a possible open space according to my experience. I am working in one of the biggest telecomunication company and I cannot say to have seen all about Agile & related practices: the path is not so quick and a lot of difficulties are there to slow down or even stopiing  the agile introduction;  sometimes even some basic concepts are difficult to introduce. So I cannot propose any brilliant up to date technology, but only my experience (> 2 years).

Fabio Armani

What do I plan to learn / explore at this camp?
- New Agile Coach practices and approaches
How do I plan to contribute?
- With a lot of LEGO and other Lean Agile Games for sure.
- By proposing and discussing with the others what I’ve learned during my last year of Lean & Agile Coaching in middle and large organizations

Gaetano Mazzanti

Last year’s Camp has been a great learning opportunity for me, I met a lot of great people and some of them became my friend.
This time I hope to bring a more active contribution, with feedback from my coaching experiences, ideas and activities.
In particular I would like to propose activities to explore the “yes, and…” paradigm used in theatrical improvisation, check this: http://pragprog.com/magazines/2011-08/guru-meditation

Andrea Provaglio

I’m an independent consultant on Agile software development, with an inclination for social dynamics in organizations.

I’m planning to share my experience with the other attendees and get new perspectives on how we can serve better our clients.

Alessio Del Toro

1. I would like to learn how to apply the agile principles to a completly unknown team;
2. reporting my experiences in a small company;

Oana Juncu

I think that Agile Coach Camps are a great set-up, and Italian Agile Community has a lot of value that il can bring in the Open Spaces like Agile Coach camps. I was in at ACCIL last year, a great experience! Looking forward to share about Agile Games and other ways to sustain shared learning.

Alessandro Campeis

I would like to discover new ways to help people i work with learning to discover their own way to accomplish their targets in effective and at the same time pleasing ways
I’ll like to learn from the experience of others how to refresh the way people work boosting their engagement in what we do

I want to contribute taking my point of view to the discussion, in the light of my experience and knowledge i acquired
I hope to contribute into making the event a stimulating experience for everyone

Marco Trincardi

Meet again people I know to discuss and exchange positive and negative experiences.
In details, I’d like to learn how to use a Kanban board, how to quantify the technical debt of a legacy app to a manager.
Anybody have positive experience with off-shore teams? Mine was negative.
I can contribute based on the needs of  the self organizing team :)

Massimo Bandinelli

I definitely wants to know something more about coaching dynamics, how to facilitate improvements items adopting Agile methodologies. I’m crazy for Agile, but I want to understand how to pass my passion to other people gradually without destroying what they did in the past, making them understand what are the real and practical values behind Lean and Agile. In addition I deem it’s the right place to meet other people and share our experiences. Knowledge and experience sharing it’s the baseline for kaizen. So my contribute will be the experience I’m doing in my company who started adopting Agile methodologies since December 2011.

Marco Chiaverini

Learn how to scale lean and agile in my organization and network wirh agile coaches. I am happy to contribute by sharing my experiences in scrum and Kanban.

Stefano Leli

Learn/Explore – I’m really interested to hear real life experiences, stories of success and failure, etc. from coaches and other people engaged to introduce agile methods in working environments.

Contribute – As coach, I can contribute in bringing my daily experience to other people interested like me in stories from the trenches

Vittorio Scibetta

I’d like to explore something  about self coaching. Don’t know by now how to contribute. I think I’ll ask a lot of questions. Hope to meet old and new friends

Roberto Bettazzoni

I want to meet other coaches and some friends. In the coach camps the human relations build the most of the knowledge that you learn.
As learner I’m very interested by the soft skills. Last year I found a lot of very good ideas and hints.
As coach I can contribute with my experiences. This year I focused on the 4c method (Training from the back of the room) applied to the technical trainings. Eg: how to facilitate a code dojo or a C.I. group retrospective from the back of the room .

Simone Federici

I want to improve my communication and organizational capabilities and deepen the agile coaching work. I’d like meet face to face the agile Italian people and find or create some possible business opportunity.

I will give you my enthusiasm, my agile development experiences and all my questions at all. I’ve no answers on this subject.

Emiliano Soldi

I’m interested in any coaching techniques, aboveall if those are applied to an agile team.
I’m looking for any additional information that goes beyond the “standard” agile disciplines (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.) I would share my thoughts about agile and how it could evolve.

I would like to understand how the agile movement is moving in Italy and in the other countries.
I would like to discuss how to accelerate the usage of agile in Italy.

Oh, I was forgetting, really, really many thanks for what your are doing for the whole agile community, arranging this camp!

Michele Finelli

I am interest in building teams of mixed skills, mainly software development and IT: in particular I would like to talk about Scrum and Kanban techniques, and how they should be mixed addressing the needs of IT teams. I would like to contribute bringing my experience of an IT professional who has got interest in agile methodologies and coaching.

Alex Landini

I’m interested in attending the coaching camp to learn the agile techniques that can help me make work in a more exciting and effective way, and to grow professionally.

My contribution couldn’t be as of more experienced practitioners, I can be a volunteer to verify the effectiveness of the application of agile methodologies.

Stefano Sordi

I would like to learn more about Agile through the interation with other people getting inspired from their expiriences.
My company is at the early stage of the transition but I feel that I can positively contribute to the camp. I have any specific expectation. I am very curious and I keen to learn and possibily to transfer something of my short experience.

Juliane Conradt

What do you plan to learn / explore at this camp?

I want to learn new stuff. crossover stuff. Whatever I can learn. And I hope to get new inspirations from the Coach Camp as I did last year.

How do you plan to contribute?

I can add everything that I learned myself during my professional live within the last year. I can add a lot of questions. Of course I also would like to cross-pollinate in the sense of the ALE community and share stuff that I learned myself on agile community events.

Sven Tiffe

I’m mostly interested in networking and getting new ideas and inspiration from a different community than the German agile community.

I’d like to share my experiences and things I have learned at other coach camps and conferences, and I’d like to explore how to be agile without doing agile.

Carlo Beschi

1. I´ll come to learn from other people experience and expertise. Beside individual contributions I also expect to take grant advantage of group dynamics :-)
2. I´ll bring my own knowhow and background, together with my doubts. I´ve invested a lot of time and energy in team management practices and experiments in this last year – this might be a focus for my contribution. Personal time and productivity management is also in my hot topics list. Together with agile and lean, sure …

Stefano Formaggi

Except for my bad experiences with traditional (dis-)organization, I can’t contribute very much. I can surely contribute more with question than with answers. But I’d like to learn more about agile, and hope the coach camp can be a wonderful occasion to improve my knowledge and learn from the experience from people already involved in agile development.

Emanuele Di Saverio

My main concern is about facilitating highly creative teams: the technology component can be minor or absent ins some cases.

I can contribute with insight on how a designer’s mind react when faced to processes – either traditional, agile, strict or loose.
A number or factors, models, and sometime stereotypes kick in, and you have to cope somehow.

Gianluca Padovani

1. I would explore the new techniques to manage large teams, to create strong and motivated team. Increase the trust between business people and technical people.
2. I could share my experience in leading a growing team, the difficult encountered to create a good environment where business people could interact with technical people.

Giulio Roggero

1. Share experience on Agile projects. Learn about Lean-Agile PM and applications about it. Improve my training/coaching skills. Exploring Agile Projects Methodologies applied outside ICT world.

2. Introduce, play and improve the game “Agile – the Board Game”. I’ve created and published this game under CC license at http://code.google.com/p/agile-the-board-game. I’m using this game during my training courses and I’d like to improve it and share the experience with other participants. This can be also a starting point for other learning-by-doing games.

Gian Carlo Pace

What do you plan to learn /explore at this camp?
- I’d like to learn from the great attendees of this camp which methodologies/practices/tools they use going beyond books and theories.

- Last but not least have fun and meet some old and new friends :)

During my working life I’ve studied and experienced some agile practices/methods (mainly XP/Scrum) and I’d like to share my thoughts, achievements but, most of all, failures that taught me something.

Claudio Perrone

- The Agile Coaching Profession: business development ideas for independent consultants

How do you plan to contribute?
By asking thoughtful questions :D

Luca Sirri

This is my first experience in a coach camp, so I will come with great curiosity. My goal is to learn as much as possible from any person present in this camp and learn every new technique for “Agile Coaching”.
I do not know what would be my contribution, I have some experience in team building but not using special techniques, only creating just the right atmosphere.

Matteo Vaccari

What do I plan to learn/explore: I’ve read and heard many times about the PDCA cycle, metrics, A3 thinking, etc. I’ve seen teams gather reams of data and do nothing about it. I’d like to learn something about how to *use* numbers effectively.

My contribution: I’m a technical person. I think that all the agility in the world will come to nothing if we don’t add the magic sauce of effectiveness-at-programming. I’d like to share my experiences in the quest to become effective at programming in a team.

Fabio Coatti

Learn? how to best help in agile introduction my company..and explore how others are doing the same!
How I plan to contribute? mainly by asking a lot of questions :) but of course sharing what we are doing and my point of view about our life with agile.

Andrea Campolonghi

I think I will learn from real world agile coaching experience. Will be great to share points of view and to capture tricks from experienced agile trainer.
I will bring my personal approach to the agile world. I am a sort of newbie here cause I have started to discover some technique recently with huge benefit on my productive life. I’d like to explain how starting to follow the agile way is giving me more confidence about my daily schedule and about the code I produce.

Dimitar Bakardzhiev

I am a Kanban practitioner and I will try to share my experience with Kanban and Critical Chain.
At the camp I would like to go away a bit from the technicalities and get fresh idea about how to do the people-oriented activities such as motivation.

Antonio Carpentieri

Marco Schincaglia

I would like to get an overview of the latest trends and perspectives in the Agile community and have a better understanding about the basics.
I would like to contribute by sharing my (short) experience in Agile development, and ask a lot of questions.

Pietro Di Bello

What do you plan to learn / explore at this camp?

In all these years, I’ve become a better programmer and a more professional and accountable team mate, but where I think I still fail is to be a good support for helping my team mates to work better, improve their skills and be more effective as a team.
So that’s something I’d like to learn.
Other themes I’d like to explore are:
* how to resolve conflicts in a team
* how to use retrospective and other self-reflection techniques to help improve the team work
How do I plan to contribute?
I’ll bring my experience (it’s not that long as a coach, anyway) and much curiosity.

Carlo Ballabio

What do you plan to learn? I’d like to better understand agile values and how to apply them in real projects.

How do you plan to contribute?
Share my experience, as a novice scrum master, on a project for a new software platform with a lot of innovation and unknowns.”

Roberto Schiabel

What do you plan to learn / explore at this camp? This is my first (and concrete too) experience in coaching and team building;
I would like to know how to improve human-team relationships, and how to apply agile and lean principles in a brand new team, based on people from different departments.

How do you plan to contribute? I will share my very short experiences in a small company.

Angel Diaz-Maroto

What do you plan to learn / explore at this camp? I’d like to discuss about different approaches in the implementation of Agile & Lean techniques in complex organizations and share experiences. I’d also enjoy doing some international networking.

How do you plan to contribute? I’m passionate about putting in place Lean and Agile concepts in very complex environments. Therefore, I specialize in the implementation of cultural and procedural change in banking. Currently, I work at ING Direct Spain as Lean Champion, Agile coach and head of IT methodology. I’d love to contribute with the experience I’ve grown in thin environment.

Antonio Davoli

I’m a computer science graduate student at Sapienza U and recently I have obtained a SFERACoaching Certification. I am approaching the agile world and this would be a great opportunity for me to meet interesting people.

Fabio Mora

1. I’d like to learn new methods and techniques that can help me to lead a team as well. This is also my first experience here and I’d like meet new friends and professionals.

2. I can only share my experience. I’m 22 years old, but since I was child I’ve been involved in computer science experimenting anything I could. I discovered Agile about 2 years ago. Nowadays I’m CEO in a web&dev agency.

Stefania Di Cristofalo

I’d like to explore similarities and differences between ICF Coaching and Agile Coaching. I am very interested in developing managers and teams, integrating soft and technical competences.

As I think agile organizations are those who develops everybody’s awareness as a part of a living-working-entity where collaboration rise from inspired human beings, I could contribute with a laughing yoga session or bioenergetic exercises to maintain the resilience state at work.

Alessandro amella

I want to learn from the agile community and to share interests in agile principles.
I offer to share ideas for applying cmmi practices into agile environment.

Giovanni Roncoroni

1. I need open my mind, let ideas breathe, renew trust and enthusiasm lost during last months of struggling trial, meet inspiring people, collect suggestion to develop in next future

2. Report my experience in a web company that tried to apply Scrum and Kanban, that engaged 2 coach, that bought post-it but…”

Tania Campanelli

I am interested in learning how to apply Agile methodology in non software contexts. Agile values and principles have a general applicability but which of the typical techniques/practices are meaningful in other contexts?

I would like to share issues and concerns resulting from my experience in managing projects involving multiple departments across my organization. Then I could also share my somewhat weird experience in preparing for Agile certification :)

Sean Fitzpatrick

I want to get “professional” in managing product development. In the past, I have been hired to: 1) manage the product launch of a big web site in Europe, 2) co-found a startup, 3) manage the product development of a music web site. I had to manage the Agile process at #2 and #3 and I really, really, want some external feedback and validation. It feels like the blind leading the blind!
