I’m a beginner in the agile practice and certainly not a formed coach.
Still, while not really a youngster, I’m very passionate about software team management and, in the broader sense, sw craftmanship.
I think of myself as a small entrapreneur, being a partner in a small development shop (about 20 people).
I’d like to profit from these days in close conctact with many experienced and wise “agilers” in learning as much as possible to empower the day to day work of small teams.
I’ll bring my experience on many projects developed in the years, most without use of agile but with various forms of collaboration, and which sometime may well serve as counter examples 🙂

sure I bring my empathy, my everlasting optimism, my willingness to learn and improve myself. also, I can put on the table my experience as an in-transition Tester from non-tech to tech, from manual to automation, how I’m still facing a big mindset change required by becoming-Agile and last how I’m setting my role and position as a Solo-Tester outside of the Teams, trying to support all of them, avoiding being a bottleneck or, worst, a non-Agile single point.

With the unconference formula is difficult to plan what to learn … new topics are always welcome. Recently I am interested the theme of the continuous delivery, how this can reduce the time and the risks associated to delivering new version or new projects in according with the Agile Manifesto.
How do you plan to contribute?
I will contribute with my experience as Product Owner. Last year, I attended the workshop user story mapping with Jeff Patton on and I will share this experience.

I’ve attended the last two editions of accit. Has been always an amazing experience. I’ve learned so much about both technical and more methodological skills that a good coach should have.
On my way to becoming a better agile team member (and maybe in the future a XP coach), I would like to learn much about agile scaling (what happens outside my team?) and ways to improve team agility (reduce waste, improve “reactiveness”).

I bring my experience joining a big company that is trying to become more agile on all departments (starting from IT and Development).
I’ve discovered a lot of things that I didn’t experience while working in smaller companies with maybe just one or two teams. Also, my skills have been stressed a lot more.

2. I’ve worked as a PO and Customer Account in a small company . I’d like to share my experience as PO, the successes and the failures. The difficulties I met working with highly expert (maybe old-minded) developers used to passively suffer a command and control environment.
I’d like to share also the way we have used trello as kanban board and how it has changed to cover the team needs.
I’d like to present (if people like it) a solo-project experience managing end to end a new product (gymtrainer.net)

It’s a while I use and talk about agile; should be the middle age crisis, but some questions arises about the Agile approach.
Is Agile intrinsically ethic? What is Agile, really?
Does Agile really enable innovation in a world where everything was already invented?
Which factors hinder (or stop!) and which quicken Agile adoption?

I’ve some answers to this questions, but don’t think are the right one.
I like to share my thoughts with other people, probably some beer could help.

2. Contribution
In the past years I’ve worked a Scrum Master / Agile Coach for teams in an IT department, for one team in marketing and one transition team. I’ll be glad to share my experiences.

I am eager to share my experience in scaling agile in financing, telco and software development industries leading both transformation and product development programs, through framework like SAFe, LeSS, Scrum.

I plan to explore the cultural differences in applying agile between Italy and Germany. My experience last year at the ACCItaly was in a way that the main difficulties and obstacles in applying agile are more or less the same in Italy and Germany. Is this still valid? Will I find some typical German or Italian problems?

2. How do you plan to contribute?
Meanwhile, in about 7 years working as scrum master I experienced a lot of situations in teams and tried out several formats for retrospectives. Sometimes I could see that I found a good format to address the current team situations sometimes the way I tried to help the team was not appropriate. I would like to share this experience with other scrum master colleagues.

I don’t know how I can contribute to this camp, I am starting these days to apply the agile approach to the activities of my group. I could definitely share my experience, the problems I’m facing and the results that we have achieved.

Now i’m coaching, with consultant support, a program of about 50 people using SAFe.
i’m planning to participate at this camp in order to share my experience with other coaches in different business areas
I would also explore the difference between internal and consultant coaches, and go deep in problems and benefit of both.
i’m planning to contribute with my experience of scaling agile and adopting agile in a big, traditional and conservative environment

After acting as a Agile coach for a couple of years in a very large organisation (with some success and lots of failure 😉 ), I’m left pondering if agile coaching just are pain killers of deeper untreated and fatal organisational diseases.

1) What I plan to learn/explore:

I wish to get ideas and inspiration from other coaches at the camp. Listening to the stories of others is so much more rewarding than attending training courses, and so I see this as a massive learning opportunity. I´d like to learn the challenges and experiences of others, listen to success stories and failures and reflect on my own experiences.

2) How can I contribute?

I´ve had a lot of experience recently in working with larger enterprises who are trying to scale – and so I´d like to share my stories around this topic. I´d also like to use the Bruce Lee quote “Adapt what is useful, reject what is not, add what is specifically your own” as a starting point for discussions around method-agnostic approach with coachees and customers. The third thing I´d like to bring is the ideas of “training from the back of the room/brain learning” and how we can use these in our daily activities as coaches/agile influencers.
